Oh my word I cannot believe the fantastic weather we are having.It is not often the weather here rivals our holiday destinations!Anyway – a short catch up today for events happening for the rest of this week and next week.
Plant Sale
We had a hugely successful sale today and Catriona will be back with another Plant Sale next Tuesday at 10am. Put the reminder in your diary and phone so you don’t forget!Beautiful healthy plants and all proceeds go to the U3A.90% of next week’s plants will be different to those on sale earlier today – some architectural statement plants planned.Huge thanks to Catriona for her generosity!
Gardeners Group
There will NOT be a Gardeners’ meeting this afternoon as they met up at Catriona’s Plant Sale this morning and are meeting for a cuppa in Sow & Grow on the site.
The monthly History session
The last History session will be held tomorrow Wednesday 7th June at 11am.
Oscar Spence will be here to take the session this month – The role of Women in the American Civil War.
One Pot Cookery
There will be a One Pot Cookery Session on Monday 12th June at 11am.

A Drop-in session IT Clinic
If you have an issue with your phone, tablet, Ipad or Laptop then this is the session for you.
Some local teenage school kids have committed to coming down to U3A and doing a one-off hour-long Drop In help clinic for those with IT problems.
These guys are ‘professionals’ and should be able to help you with emails, getting online, scams, working out where your pics have disappeared etc etc.
PLEASE come along and give them some problems to solve!
Art Lovers Trip to Dublin
The Art Lovers will be going on a trip to Dublin on Tuesday 27th June.
They are travelling to Dublin to the Chester Beatty Library in the grounds of Dublin Castle for a private tour of the galleries and their extensive collection of prints, drawings and manuscripts. The cost of the tour is £10, payable in advance.
Travel will be on McGinley’s coach, leaving outside Sainsbury’s at 8.15am and returning from Parnell Square at 5.45pm. Travel is free for over 65. Lunch at the Silk Road Café in the Library.
There are a few places still available. All U3A members and friends are welcome to join us.

Foyle Hospice Ladies Walk
